AUDIOGALAXY.COM: "From blues-infected
hard rock to soft-rock ballads, Tall Dark Stranger delivers the
goods."

LISTEN.COM:
"Dramatic sunsets-and-turtleneck songs served best with white wine
and scampi. Synth melodies a la the '80s, thunderous, ballad-oriented drums,
and sly moustache vocals offer winks and nudges."
NASHVILLE MUSIC GUIDE
(3/00):
"One of my friends refers to their lead singer as 'Tall, Dark, and Handsome'.
This band provides strong songs with beautiful harmonies."
Here's what listeners at GARAGEBAND.COM had to say:
LOVE YOU TO DEATH:
Great song! Catchy
melody and a funky groove you can really move to...
Strong 70's influence without
sounding retro. Sounds familiar, but better than a lot of the tripe heard
on the radio...
King's X meets arena rock...
This song clearly is played
by skilfull musicians who know what they're doing. It leaps back to that
good old good rock'n roll feeling, while at the same time the production
and arrangement are definitely ready for the new millenium.
FOOL'S CIRCLE: Crank this sucka up!... This tune reminds me of some of the better 70's funk- slip on your platforms and party to this!... Great new blues/rock band ala S.R.V., Arc Angels, etc. Skillfully arranged and produced with great musicianship, it's great- one of the best so far... King's X plays funk- cool stuff... Old-school boogie rock- one of the best songs I heard this year!... Blues rock with the spirit to move ya!- strong Clapton influence.
THE HURRICANE:
Great song highlighted by
a skillful singer and talented musicians...
Overall, a high-quality piece
that sticks in the mind and makes the listener want more...
This song is well performed
and produced. It sounds like it was made with professional session musicians...
The singer has a great voice.
The choir adds a nice touch to the song...
Lovely- this is something
beautiful... What's not
to love? A really good tune that was well done. Strong effort in the
vocals, harmonies are solid.
Great!
TALKING TO MY PAST: Very nicely done! Great singing and background vocals- reminds me of Marc Cohn or James Taylor in tune and arrangement. I would buy this tune... Nice arrangement. Heartfelt lyrics and great vocals!... Start to fly! Peace came over me... Great vocals, good melodic idea, good guitar solo.
ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE: Southern/blues rock with a sense of humour. Great playing... Groovealicious!... If I could play and sing like this, I'd give up my day job!... Joe Walsh meets 38 Special... Nice, funky rock energy, good leads, good vocals. This band has potential... Great new band on the rise!... Sexy, slippery slide guitar and a vocal honed with pure passion... Slide right in there! Good guitar song with fine vocals... The mood and beat are awesome, and the ending is great, but I wish it wouldn't end!... Real down home cookin' flavor- no additives aloud! This song makes me want to see the band live. Keep it real!
PRETTY THING: Very impressive- excellent work! You harmonize very well... Loved the production with great harmonies. Nice, laid back blues feel to it... Tightness- what a concept! Also liked the chord structure... Love Jones meet Lyle Lovett? This is so smooth- Kind of like the Subdudes? I liked this song, it grooves... Sexy smooth funky acoustic tune. Nice groove- unusual time signature feels smooth. Good vocal production, overall has a "Black Velvet" feel... A must have! Wonderfully refreshing originality. Grabbed me right from the top... Here's someone with feeling, and some technique (sorry, am I allowed to use that word?). Vocals a bit like Robert Plant meets Steely Dan. Very cool.

We are a featured band in the July issue of Rock 'n Read magazine!
CRY BABY: No-one needs to cry over this song. Nice beat ,good harmonys. I love the female vocal... Way Above Average... Headed for the top! What a great group! This is one of those feel good songs that'll hit big if it ever makes it to the charts. Perfect blend of male and female vocals - a pleasure to listen to... I feel like I should be hearing this on the radio. I especially like the female vocalist, and the combination of sounds. I'd like to hear more from this group... PERFECT!! I really liked this song -don't change a thing... A beautiful song that kept my interest. Very nice vocal work, both lead and backup. I could hear a lot of talent and a lot of hard work that went into this song. Keep it up and good luck!... Promising country pop- the female vocals are great!
